Europe has always been about friends, indulgence, art and fashion. Unfortunately I have lost most of my pictures to support my experience.
For now, a bit of beautiful Florence (Firenze) and Southern France will do the trick!!

South America

South America

Feeling restless? You’re not alone: Everybody’s starting to look for more meaning in life. Start paying closer attention to those seemingly “Chance Coincidences” — strange occurrences that feel like they were meant to happen. They are actually synchronistic events, and following them will start you on your path to spiritual truth.” The 1st insight of The Celestine Prophecy Summarised by Alan Atkisson
I don’t remember which year I read The Celestine Prophency but all I know is never stopped thinking about South America till I finally went in 2009.

Canada and US

Canada and US

Canada is the place I called home for many years, a country enclosing infinite beauty in its endless landscapes as well as in the hearts of its citizens.
Traveling across Canada is purely magic, despite the extremely long and harsh winter and I still believe Montreal is the most beautiful, fascinating city to live in.

Australia and New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand

Australia is the world’s sixth largest country and it’s the largest Island. It is the only island that is also a continent, and the only continent that is also a county. It was the first continent conquered from the sea, and the last. It is the only nation that began as a prison.
It is the home of the largest living things on earth, The Great Barrier Reef, and the largest monolith, Ayers Rock (or Uluru to use its now-official, more respectful Aboriginal name). It has more things that will kill you than anywhere else.” Bill Bryson in Down Under
And New Zealand – Simply HEAVEN on Earth!! for me it was all a big dream come TRUE!!

Middle East

Middle East

Hum… I meet a Canadian couples in Egypt as I just finished my “Cape to Cairo” They were heading to South and Me… was suppose to go back home!! At least that is what I thought. We accidently exchanged our Guide Books, and the next thing I know … I woke up in Akaba, Jordan.
And suddenly I discovered the world of colors, flavor and wonderful people. Ah… Knafeh in Jordan, Hummus in Israel, Mountain of sweets in Damascus, Zest for Life in Beirut.

Mark Twain wrote:

There is only one India: The land of dreams and romance … A wonderland of fabulous wealth and fabulous poverty, of splendor and rags. The one sole country under the sun that is endowed with an imperishable interest for alien princess and peasants, for lettered and ignorant, wise and fool, rich and poor, bond and free, the one land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for the shows of all rest of the globe combined …”

I couldn’t agree more!!

My first love outside my own world (Ethiopia) came from West African women. I loved the bold color of their clothes and the way they talked loud and laughed a lot. The batiks captured my eyes. (I didn’t even know what they were called back then). I just knew one day I wanted to go there” From my article on Horizon Ethiopia , Ethiopian, English Speaking Nomad
That’s how “Cape to Cairo” was born. Who knew I would travel around Africa years later!!
